like a SERIOUS routing issue (a long-standing).  in the meantime, i
heard from another user who can't reach the site from another domain
(*.fraunhofer.de, might be the same backbone).  the problem still
exists.

when i use a dialup-connection, everything is fine.  really strange.

are there any news regarding the garbage collector?  am i missing
something?
