Presentation

This page is an attempt to redesign my old hp48 page which was too difficult to maintain. The only thing you’ll find here is some of my hp48 software, as well as some useful information. However, I have no time to do it now so consider this page in really heavy construction. Please refer to my old hp48 page if you are looking for something I did and you can’t find.

Connect48

This was initially a connect 4 AI for a contest at the OpenHP party on May 1st, 1999 at the Epita, and for the JPO 3 weeks later. I lost both contests against another program from a guy called Yoann, but my current AI beats him now. If you have his E-Mail, I’d be very interested in contacting him to compete again, or perhaps to share ideas (though the competitive spirit should be enough to perfect our programs).

The sources for the latest version are not available yet because I want it to be even better before people start taking ideas in the code, so I’m waiting a bit until it’s ready. You can get the old sources here.

Meanwhile, I’m developing a GUI for the game, and pictures of it can be found here.

Connect48 version 0.99.0 has been released. It is only a demo version, nothing is really working now. You can fill the board with pieces however. Just a preversion so that you can enjoy the graphics. You can get the source, a compiled executable, or a tarball of the whole, with the GPL and a README file.
If you have problems with these files, try the bzipped code, or the hexadecimal conversion.
